Program areas at Brighton Center

The early childhood intervention (eci) program provides children with disabilities and delays from birth to age 3 with therapies and support services to assist them in achieving their full potential. Through this program, early intervention specialists and licensed therapists go into the child's natural environment to provide direct therapy and to teach the child's parents or caretakers methods in which to continue those therapies throughout the day within their regular routine.
3. The special education support services (sess) program provides classroom and hands on training to parents of children with disabilities, young adults with disabilities and community members in the areas of self, idea and general advocacy. All training for parents of children with disabilities and young adults (ages 15-22) with disabilities are provided through cirricula which allows a hands on learning environment. The training provided through the sess program works to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing them a voice until their own voice can be heard.
2. Early childhood education (ece) is our inclusive early childhood education program. Ece offers children with and without disabilities from 6 weeks to 5 years old the opportunity to learn no matter what their differences may be, every person has something to offer. Children with disabilities are able to learn from their developing peers, and children without disabilities are able to gain a sense of respect for children with disabilities and their unique contributions.
