Program areas at Brilliance Labs
These microgrants carry the legacy of central bible church by funding churches and organizations that are making a difference in our city, especially among those under resourced or otherwise neglected by majority culture churches and ministries. In a fall 2022 and spring 2023 grant round, brilliance labs awarded grants to the following non-profit organizations and churches: *Holla School Of Gresham *Jubilee Hall *Immigrant Connectipon Of Portland *New Creation Chinese Church *One Hope Church *Pamoja House *Punto De Encuentro Comunidad Cristiano *River City Church *House Of Healing Church *Humble Beast Records *Glenfair Evangelical Church (Aka Life City Church) *New Life Church Total of $45,240.66 was provided in the form of grants during the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023.
The executive director, in partnership with multipy pdx (a local church network) hosts a weekly video podcast that interviews church and ministry leaders from the portland metro area. This podcast serves to educate and encourage local church leaders and it serves to strength the relationships of the network so that they and Brilliance Labs can be more effective at encouraing collaborative church planting in our city.
The executive director is involved in a number of significant ministries to support under resourced and multiethnic communities by: *participating in pastor gatherings and volunteering on leadership teams for citywide Christian ministry. *providing free consulting for churches and church leadership teams in the Portland metro area. *providing free informal coaching for low income and/or historically marginalized small business entrepreneurs. *providing free informal coaching for low income and historically marginalized nonprofit organizations. *preaching and performing Christian ministry activities for churches in the local area.
