Humane Society of Uvalde is an organization dedicated to improving their community via pet rescue and population control. They rescued over 800 dogs and cats from a local animal control facility and county area in the fiscal year 2019-2020, and placed them in permanent homes. Program areas at BARC

Provided nearly 400 vouchers that were issued to low income and other county residents to spay or neuter their pet at no or a discounted cost. Vouchers range in value from $250 for those pledging low income status to $100 no income limits.
Transported nearly 1200 abandoned dogs cats to other 501c3 rescue organizations in Texas and New York where they were placed into permanent new homes.
Provided full vetting costs including spay neuter surgeries for over 100 local abandoned dogs and cats and placed them into new permanent homes.
