Broadcasters Foundation of America improves the quality of life for professional men and women in the television and radio broadcast industry and their families who are in acute need through no fault of their own. The foundation reaches out across the country to identify and provide assistance. It offers two types of grant programs: monthly grants that support broadcasting professionals who are unable to work due to illness, accident, or other misfortune, and emergency grants that provide aid to those affected by natural disasters.

Broadcasters Foundation of America's sole program service is to help Broadcasters in the television and radio industry who are in acute need. During the 2023 calendar year the Foundation provided 118 professional men and women in the broadcast industry with a total of $1,284,325 in financial assistance. Checks are disbursed monthly to benevolent grantees across the country and emergency grants are issued when the need arises.
