Program areas at Broadway Education Alliance

The organization promotes the importance of arts in high schools with the annual presenation of the roger rees awards. In partnership with the walt disney company this is an annual iniitative that involves high schools from across the greater new york area, and that recognizes excellence in high school student performance in musical theatre. The winners of the roger reees awards represent their region by participating in the national high school musical theater awards, which culminates in a high profile live event on Broadway that generates national attention for talented students, dedicated teachers and the schools they represent.
Through bea's marya's gift program, the organization promotes the importance of participation in arts for youth from all financial backgrounds by providing scholarships to enable children from financially challenged families to attend one of several featured arts programs nominated by major donors. Scholarship applications are independently assessed by a separate committee.
The organization operates year-round youth enrichment programs, experiential events and educational workshops based on authorized musical theater and drama content. Camp Broadway's programs make theatre arts accessible and relevant to creative children, building confidence, honing presentation skills and helping them discover their unique talents at every stage of their lives.
