Program areas at Bronx High School of Science Alumni Foundation
Grant purpose: educational support - support from the Bronx High School of Science Alumni Foundation, Inc. Supplements curricular expansion into new electives, supports academic and extracurricular programs in Science, math, engineering, technology, humanities, music, drama and athletics, provides students with access to state of the art facilities and equipment and drives the mission of the Bronx High School of Science, a public secondary School of new york city. Stem programs - provides students with access to the extracurricular programs that help bring their stem (Science, technology, engineering, and math) education to life including robotics and a keynote speaker series. Community programs - educates students on the importance of supporting and understanding their fellow students and the local, national, and international communities around them. Students are exposed to the importance of tolerance, understanding, and history through use of artifacts within our holocaust studies center.
Grant purpose: scholarships and prizes - student scholarships and prizes are grants to help graduating seniors fund college and/or academic prizes recognizing seniors for their accomplishments at the Bronx High School of Science.
Grant purpose: facility improvements - supports the improvements of Bronx Science's physical plant including investment in architectural and engineering services, renovations, and investment in state of the art equipment for stem and academically advanced education.
