The bbawc operates the Brooklyn cat cafe, a hip and inviting destination where cat lovers can interact with adoptable animals while learning about pet rescue and pet care. It is a central facility where rescuers, fosters families and potential adoptees can meet rescued cats in a cage-free, non-shelter environment. The Brooklyn cat cafe is a volunteer-run organization, managed by the bbawc who oversees the business affairs, cat care regimen and daily cafe operations. It is also a resource center for Animal rescuers, providing educational workshops and holding space for newly-rescued cats.
