The Bryce Canyon Association (bca) provided substantial support to Bryce Canyon national park as the park celebrated its centennial year (1923-2023). This generous support consisted of extensive funding for marketing, event funding, centennial merchandise, development of a new membership program, employee events, promotional items, securing of legislative appropriations, commissioning of new artwork and an original centennial song, and many other centennial related programs and items.in additional to centennial efforts, bca completed an essential corporate rebranding along with formally entering into a philanthropic agreement with the nps to serve as Bryce Canyon national park's official philanthropic partner. In-kind and monetary funding was provided in support of the several annual festivals including a new heritage festival which highlighted indigenous and pioneer cultural skills, traditions, and crafts.bca also continued to fund research priorities and many visitor-service offerings including the park's free newspaper and guide.
During the year, bca supported several organizational and nps mission initiatives. Primary donation/grant support consisted of funding free publications that are distributed to visitors. Over 500,000 copies of the park visitor and orientation guide is printed and distributed annually. Trail maps and other informational handouts are also printed through monies provided by bca. The popular jr. ranger program is supported by an annual donation/grant and provides program booklets, certificates of accomplishment and a special junior ranger badge to youths participating in the program. Over 10,000 booklets, certificates and badges were distributed throughout the year.
