Building Blocks of Islam

As a community-building organization, Building Blocks engages people in working together to address needs, find solutions, and improve lives. Our mission is driven by islamic principles on charity and social responsibility and each individual is viewed as a Building block that reinforces the community. Building Blocks emergency assistance program has been a source of hope and relief. We have helped several families avoid eviction, move from shelters into a home of their own, keep their utilities on, or buy essential groceries.building Blocks food shelf program provides much needed sustenance to a large number of families each month (and special distributions during the month of ramadan put food on the table for a significant number of families as well). At a time when questions abound about Islam, Building Blocks has bolstered efforts to educate, reach out, and build bridges of understanding with other communities.
