Program areas at Building Enclosure Institute
Scientific research laboratory devoted to unbiased studies of physical characteristics of Building systems, components, and materials that would provide results, objective training, and education related to Building enclosures to the public on a nondiscriminatory basis. Direct charitable activity efforts in 2022 were focused on developing and releasing educational resources. Educational videos included seminars, quizzes, and diy hints and tips on the following subjects: roofing, concrete, waterproofing, termite damage, leak detection, leak sealers, architectural glass reuse, lumber grading, air barriers, thermal insulation, hvac air quality, faade safety, window sill slope, with particular focus on their applications in the hot and humid climate. Efforts also include rooftop penetration testing research, documentary interviews with 26 prominent Building Enclosure professionals, and footage of Building enclosures in 7 cities and documentation for two significant events.
