Program areas at Building Owners and Managers Association of Metropolitan Detroit
Membership: membership in the trade Association provided support to 281 members and interested parties including education, discounts on publications, benchmarking statistics, industry best practices and recognition.
Events: through the generous support of our members, the trade organization sponsored events to promote opportunities for industry recognition for outstanding service in commercial Building management; participation in community service works programs such as neighborhood clean ups, food collections, and facility rehabilitation; networking for members to extend their industry knowledge and share best practices in maintaining, funding, operating, and leasing of commercial real estate assets in the nine counties in southeast Michigan.
Education: we offered 21 educational opportunities for professional development. These included industry designation classes focused on the safe, efficient operations of commercial real estate; exposure to the industry's newest technologies; sustainability in the built environment, and best practices. Education supports our members' continuing education requirements for state licensure and industry certification.
