Program areas at BT

Building Tomorrow equips Community Education Teams to support education in rural, underserved areas. Through this model, in 2023, we reached 179,903 learners in Uganda with our signature Roots to Rise foundational literacy and numeracy camps, cutting learning poverty for some three-quarters of our learners. We enrolled 36,875 out-of-school children in school, and we recruited and trained 3,993 Community Education Volunteers, who donated 559,070 hours of their time to supporting community-powered learning during 2023.
