Burlington United Methodist Family Services (BUMFS)

Community based Services- these Services are all state funded programs targeted to provide wholistic wraparound Services to at-risk youth to prevent them from being removed from the home and placed in the residential system. These programs, except for foster and adoption, meet with kids in families in their homes and/or schools to perform assessments, coach lifes-skills, parenting skills, prevent truancy, and refer to other community providers for social, medical, and behavioral health Services.

Spiritual life & other programs- for all users in 4b, spiritual education, guidance, and resources are provided. Services are provided based on the client's desires and beliefs; United Methodist doctrine is not exclusively taught or preached.

Group care Services- these are residential Services that address two populations: first children taken from their homes and are preparing for or awaiting adoption/foster care placement. Second: mothers and young women who were facing jail time due to addiction can come to our recovery homes with their kids to prevent further burdening the residential and foster care system while the mother receives addiction recovery Services.
