Program areas at Burundi Friends International
BFI IT Hubs- In 2021, BFI partnered with three schools to develop IT Hubs equipped with computers, internet connection, and other necessary resources. These Hubs will be used as labs for innovative IT solutions that address the needs of the local community such as financial inclusion, services delivery, transportation, and web solutions. They will also provide an opportunity to increase higher education and employment opportunities for Burundian youth, especially young women and girls, with 87% of the 1541+ recipients being girls.
