Land: Buy-In provides Planning support to communities to support conservation and restoration of nature based solutions on hazard-impacted lands post buyout. Persons benefited: first year, focus on research. Research: lincoln institute of land policy working paper: what do we do with the land left behind? Published in 2022.
Planning: Buy-In provides pre-disaster Planning support to communities impacted by natural hazards. Persons benefited: first year, focus on Community outreach and relationship building. Formed a partnership with texas-based engineering firm. Submitted rfp response to city of houston in 2021 through said engineering firm and secured the contract with Planning starting in march 2022.
