Program areas at C-Change Conversations
C-Change primer presentations: the "c-change primer" is a non-partisan, multimedia presentation that explains the science and effects of climate change. Developed in consultation with scientists, business leaders, and public policy experts, the primer is widely hailed as an intelligent, accessible introduction of climate change and its impacts on our health, economy, and global security. Climate scientists and conservative leaders alike have recognized the value of the primer and C-Change's approach. As jack ciattarelli, one of new jersey's foremost republicans and former gubernatorial candidate, said: "c-change Conversations is doing exactly what needs to be done on climate change. Namely, in a very non-partisan way, they're talking about the issue not as a political one, but as a human one. Considering the impact on each one of us as individuals and the communities we live in, their approach is the right one and the education they provide is compelling in calling us to action." In addition to our basic primer, we offer hyper-focused presentations to meet the needs of specific audiences: the health primer, which reviews the basic science of climate change through the lens of how it is compromising the essentials of good health: physical safety and shelter, secure food sources, clean water, clean air, and our ability to manage diseases. This primer is intended for people who work in the medical and healthcare fields to help them understand how climate change affects wellness and quality of life. The business primer, which covers the science and effects of warming temperatures and explores their physical, reputational, legal, and regulatory risks to businesses. This primer is intended for employees, boards, and other decision makers and stakeholders who will benefit from thinking about climate change through a risk assessment framework. The spanish-language primer, which was launched in 2023 in princeton, nj.c-change also presents primers on zoom (both pre-recorded and live) as public and private events. Most primer presentations are tailored to include specifics about how climate change impacts the specific locality where we are speaking to further build personal understanding and connection of this issue. Bringing home valuable connections and climate insights, we created a version of the primer that explains what happened at the summit and what it means for the future.
