CAIR-NGA serves, protects, and advocates for Georgia Muslims. In 2021, they fought for the rights of all by defending the constitution and promoting equality and justice. Program areas at CAIR Georgia

Protect Georgia Muslims - In 2022, CAIR Georgia fought for the rights of all by defending our Constitution and promoting equality and justice. CAIR Georgia handled 140 calls for help and also secured over $330k in settlements for our clients who were targeted and endured hardships for their Muslim faith. CAIR Georgia took on over 40 new clients this year. CAIR Georgia held over 15 Know Your Rights seminars in communities across the state to educate American Muslims about their religious and civil rights and held 3 Georgia-wide Muslim Civil Rights Leadership roundtable seminars.
Community Advocacy Outreach - In 2022, CAIR Georgia advocated for a the Sapelo Island Community that is under threat of development interests. We visited and met with the Sapelo Island community and made a video of the history and struggles they are going through to hold onto their land and culture. We held over 60 outreach events at Georgia Islamic Centers to educate and hear from the community. CAIR was invited to speak at more than 10 events to inform people about Muslims and their civil engagement. CAIR Georgia had more than 60 meetings with Elected Officials to discuss issues of important to Muslim Americans
Empower Georgia Muslims - In 2022, CAIR Georgia promoted dialogue by engaging in conversations with the Muslim community and other partners. CAIR Georgia conducted a training for Georgia Muslims on how to advocate for or against policies that touch the Muslim community and organized with the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations for the 7th Annual Muslim Advocacy Day. We held 30 online education events on Civil Rights and Political Engagement. CAIR Georgia also held over 10 Advocacy trainings to encourage Muslims to run for office and advocate.
