Program areas at Caldwell Foundation for Educational Opportunity
Provided 64 scholarships to 34 Caldwell School District graduating seniors to be used for post-secondary education at colleges, universities and vocational schools.
Provided funds for educational enrichment activities to Caldwell High School and Wilson Elementary. Activities included assistance with sending Trio Upward Bound students to young womens leadership conference, grant for Wagons Ho program for elementary students and assistance with sending a student abroad to study in Tokyo. Approximately 116 students benefitted from these programs.
Paid expenses for literacy projects by providing funding for Scholastic News subscriptions for first and second grades benefitting approximately 985 students in 45 classes at 6 schools. Paid expenses of materials for the UFLI Literacy Program for 135 students at one elementary school.
Provided financial assisting for the performing & fine arts. Provided funding for band, orchestra and choir students to perform in Seattle. 85 students benefitted.
Provided transportation funding for 4 Trio Upward Bound students to make a presentation at the American Geophysical Union 2023 Annual Meeting. We also provided trasportation funding for 35 band students to perform in Seattle.
Provided a grant to help purchase t-shirts for 400 kindergarten students.
