Program areas at Calibrate A Non Profit Corporation

Connections is A data-driven social-emotional learning (sel) program, A structured listening and storytelling circle designed to construct A safe space. Additionally, children receive sel enrichment activities, such as art of connections, where performing & fine artists work on A project with youth that correlates thematically to connections topics. When Calibrate started programming in august 2019, we were A team of 3 serving 2 locations and 125 youth. We are now A team of 80 serving 1,478 youth, k-college, at 15+ locations in los angeles county's under-resourced zip codes. 100% of connections participants report multiple sel gains that support them in critical choice moments, e.g., finishing high school.
Training: fy 22-23 Calibrate trained 14 community leaders & 10 connections alumni. Since 2019, 97 persons have been trained. 95% of Calibrate's staff and 63% of our board have shared lived experiences with youth we serve. Alumni report that Calibrate has inspired them to pursue post-secondary degrees, seek meaningful work, and use connections as A tool with family, friends, and colleagues.
