CICAS was the organizer and chair of the brain-machine interface at (MMVR) Medicine Meets Virtual Reality and CARS (Computer Assisted Radiology and Surgery) conferences. Ramin Shahidi, Executive Director of CICAS, had numerous invited talks and scientific presentations worldwide on the CICAS' main topic of research which is 3D Ultrasound-Guided robotic arms for the targeted delivery of treatment to cancerous tumors. CICAS is currently building a prototype of this device. CICAS conducts research in the development of surgical navigation equipment and techniques.
