California State Games promotes and nurtures the health education and well-being of residents by managing a high quality amateur sports event. The 2022 summer edition of the Games took place in San Diego where 7,038 athletes competed in 18 sports and were watched by an estimated 15,000 people. The objective of the Games is to provide an olympic-style experience. Also hosted by California State Games was the 2022 California Winter Games in San Diego which included 2,031 athletes competing in four sports. The objective of the Cal Winter Games is to include athletes from not only California.

The 2023 California State Games were held in the summer in san diego. Participating were 7,038 athletes competing in 18 sports. The cal State Games were seen by an estimated 15,000 people. The objective of the Games is to host a high quality sports event that includes athletes from throughout California and neighboring states. The 18 sports included were archery, badminton, basketball, bmx, climbing, diving, field hockey, footgolf, ice hockey, judo, pickleball, rugby, skateboarding, softball, surfing, track & field, water polo and wrestling.
The 2023 California winter Games was held in san diego in february & march. Participating were 2,031 athletes competing in 4 sports. The objective of the cal winter Games is to host a high quality sports event that includes athletes from not only California but throughout the us. The sports included were curling, figure skating, ice hockey & roller skating.
