Program areas at California State Games
The 2022 California State Games were held in the summer in San Diego. Participating were 7,038 athletes competing in 18 sports. The Cal State Games were seen by an estimated 15,000 people. The objective of the Games is to host a high quality sports event that includes athletes from throughout California and neighboring states. The 18 sports included were Archery Badminton Basketball BMX Climbing Diving Field Hockey FootGolf Ice Hockey Judo Pickleball Rugby Skateboarding Softball Surfing Track & Field Water Polo and Wrestling.
The 2022 California Winter Games was held in San Diego in February & March. Participating were 2,031 athletes competing in 4 sports. The objective of the Cal Winter Games is to host a high quality sports event that includes athletes from not only California but throughout the US. The sports included were Curling Figure Skating Ice Hockey & Roller Skating.
