California State PTA - Palos Verdes Peninsula Council PTA

The organization sponsors and oversees the activities of the costume closet. The costume closet, established in 1977, is a community service program. Its purposes are: 1) to provide costumes for stage and music productions within the pvpusd, 2) to rent costumes to the community, and 3) to provide funds to support the schools' ptsa units. The costume closet is staffed primarily by parent volunteers from all the schools in the district and loyal community volunteers.

The pvp Council provides the necessary funds to allow officers to attend the annual California state PTA convention. It also provides for continuity to smooth transitions by sponsoring workshops and training programs for all incoming officers of pta/ptsa units.
