Sherman PTA supports sfusd's Sherman Elementary school, its students and community by providing funds, enabling programs and services, organizing volunteers, and encouraging family/faculty engagement for student success and well-being.sherman Elementary is an sfusd k-5 school located in san francisco's cow hollow-marina district. Sherman's programs would not be possible without a unique partnership between the school site and Sherman PTA to leverage resources collaboratively and strategically. Sherman PTA provides donated funds to enable class-size reduction across all grades, a credentialed computer science/technology and math teacher, tier 2 literacy support, recess training and equipment, science/garden enrichment, field trips, classroom supplies and teacher professional development, dance and cultural celebrations. PTA programs complement and engage families around site balanced literacy programs, math, social studies, next-generation science curriculum, and social emotional support.
