To render services to members (Tomato Growers) such as bargaining, marketing, selling and handling of products or otherwise making facilities available to members.
Provided financial support of Tomato products wellness council's online social media project to promote Tomato products consumption.
Public relations: continued to update the website to include a news ticker displaying current industry news, Tomato bulletins and updates, events, other pertinent industry information and links.
Continued partnership with extend ag to enable Growers internet access to valuable information throughout the year to assist with planning, production and harvest of crops. Expanded data collection through extend ag to provide the Association with more information for bargaining purposes.continued implementing "board effect" an online communication service for staff to post meeting notices, agendas, minutes, news articles, correspondence and other important information, for the board to utilize their ipads at meetings. A resource library was also established on the site to include posting of important industry news articles and events.continued support of Tomato products wellness council and the processed Tomato foundation.increased exhibitor participation at the annual meeting and exhibitor trade show to provide a networking opportunity for the membership and industry. Provided a venue at the annual meeting for continuing education in conjunction with the university of California's annual Tomato meeting.contributed to the agriculture defense fund used to make a stand with a regulatory matter.
