Program areas at California Veterans Benefit Fund
The organization provides funding, education and assistance to Veterans and their families through veteran services offices located in California. Our services include funding for accredited services officers who write claims for disabled Veterans for monthly stipends. We also support a program placing k9 service dogs with Veterans. At our annual luncheon we honor Veterans and leaders, recognize the programs we support, and inform attendees of issues related to Veterans.
We support the vererans resource center with their dancing with the stars spinoff, providing funding for housing for vets and their families. We also support the "honors committee" which puts deserving names on the ca vietnam memorial of soldiers that died since the end of the war of ptsd, agent orange diseases such as multiple forms of cancer. We have supported this program since it inception.
We help in the soledad and san quentin prison systems. In soledad, we give yearly grants to dr. benjamin colodzin, phd, who mentors the ptsd program there. We have been doing this for many years. In the san quentin system we help Veterans helping Veterans which is a ptsd program wiht Veterans having ptsd helping new Veterans with ptsd.
