The Camden Clark Foundation was established in 1987 as a 501c3 non-profit organization. In partnership with patients, physicians, employees, community leaders and philanthropists, the foundations mission is to develop relationships and financial resources to support the health care programs, projects and services of WVU Medicine Camden-Clark Medical Center. These funds enable the hospital to offer state-of-the-art care to its patients while underwriting its efforts to provide health services to the economically disadvantaged. This philanthropic partnership enhances Camden-Clarks ability to create a compelling work environment for physicians and staff, and offers fulfilling opportunities to donors and volunteers.
The mission of the Foundation is to provide a lasting healthcare difference in the mid-ohio valley by assisting Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital through fund accumulation. Such funds are used for future hospital capital and service needs. During 2022, the Foundation was awarded grants from Neptune and McDonough to provide free mammograms, breast ultrasounds and additional views for WV women aged 40-49 who are uninsured or underinsured. Through this grant, 201 patients received services.
