Program areas at Cameron Community Ministries
Kitchen:cameron operates a kitchen and dining area that is used to serve lunchfor low income individuals and dinner for students of the after schoolprogram. In 2021, approximately $300,000 in donated food, as well asfood received from foodlink, Inc, was served in nearly 27,250 lunch meals and 2,600 student meals.
Clothing house:cameron operates a clothing house, a separate building where donatedclothing is distributed to low-income residents. During 2021, 720people were served.
Youth:cameron operates an after school learning and recreation program forapproximately 62 grade school students from a very low income area, anda summer recreation program for approximately 62 local youth. Manyvolunteers supplement Cameron staff to deliver these services.
Social work:cameron helps to send graduates of our youth programs to localparochial schools with the help of loyal supporters donatingscholarship funds. Cameron assists the students financially,physically, and emotionally. In 2021, 5 students were assisted.
