Program areas at Courageous Community Services
Provide camping experience to persons with developmental disabilities
Our programs offer advocacy training to our clients. Our goal is to help out clients live full lives and become productive members of their community. We facilitate two groups; People First and Whats Next, which combined serve approximately 70 members. These groups are run by and for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. These meetings offer self advocacy training, peer networking, socialization and presentations on various topics of interest, such as fire safety, library opportunities, physical fitness. We send our clients to state and local advocacy training seminars.
