Program areas at Camp Fire - Green Country
Club - Camp Fire's small-group, year-round club program takes place in tulsa area schools, communities, and other partner sites. In an effort to ensure that all children have the opportunity for quality youth development, Camp Fire intentionally reaches out to serve underserved schools, communities, and groups who may lack access or resources to participate. Through trained, safe, paid leaders, Camp Fire serves tulsa area youth pre-k-12th grade and families with programming that keeps youth safe during out-of-school time, creates powerful youth experiences that lead to long-term benefits and have a positive impact on society.
Youth leadership Camp fires youth leadership programs serve tulsa-area middle and high school youth with year-round small group activities and clubs. With the guidance of safe, caring, and trained adult leaders in weekly or bimonthly meetings, teens strengthen their resilience, build self-confidence and learn to make positive choices. Youth gain skills in 1) leadership development through program planning, decision-making, and reflection; 2) service-learning activities through giving back; and 3) social justice and environmentalism through projects and community engagement.
Camp and outdoor Camp Fire provides outdoor programming and summer overnight Camp to youth and families from across the united states each year at one of two Camp properties. At camp,children have the opportunity to develop the essential skills and mindsets that we know from research lead to greater outcomes in life. They learn responsibility through making decisions and working toward group and individual goals, experience the value of cooperation in activities that require teamwork, gain courage as they stretch to acquire new skills, and they find increased self-esteem and confidence in themselves as they discover and practice new abilities.
