Program areas at Camp Hobe

Camp hob provides psychosocial support programs for children between the ages of 4 and 19 years old and their families, through summer camps and family outings. The summer Camp program offers two 5-day in-person Camp sessions, a 2-day in-person Camp session, and a 4-day virtual Camp session. Our family outing program offers 4 free family events each year, so that all family members can participate in social events together without worrying about the cost of tickets. We serve almost 300 children each year through the summer camps and almost 900 individuals through the family outings. We serve patients with cancer (and similar disorders) and their families from within the referral area for primary children's hospital, which includes Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming. More than 90% of those served by Camp hob live in Utah, with approximately 80% residing along the wasatch front. Children or teens diagnosed with cancer (and similar disorders) and their families may participate in Camp hob programs while the patient is being treated with immunosuppressive therapy (chemotherapy, radiation, or immunosuppressants) and for three Camp seasons after their final treatment.
