Since 1948,Camp Lurecrest has provided nondenominationalChristianemphasis overnight summer camp programs for children grades 3-12.Up to 10 weeks of summer camp are heldon a 60 acre campus in Lake Lure, North Carolina. More than 200 children attend campweekly supported by 70 paidand volunteer staff.Lurecrest reaches out to youth in need by offering two free summercamp sessions - Camp CARE and New Venture Camp.
Camp Lurecrest hosts retreats and rental camps for churches, youth, collegeand adult groups to support Christian emphasis programs. The relationshipsformed with leaders and guests of these retreats also raise awareness of the summer camp and overall mission of Camp Lurecrest Ministries.
