Program areas at Camp Rainbow Gold

Camp Rainbow Gold is serving Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their families. We offer two oncology camps, a sibling Camp and two family camps. Camps are attended by a full medical staff and a licensed social worker to ensure the children are supported both medically and emotionally. Program staff and volunteers are trained and aim to provide a fun, safe and caring experience for the children, siblings and parents through every interaction. The love of Camp doesn't end when you turn 18. Our junior volunteer program provides a natural transition for campers to become volunteers and give back to their Camp Rainbow Gold family. The Camp experience builds self-esteem, confidence, hope, and love. All camps and programs are offered at no cost to the families and take place at hidden paradise in fairfield, Idaho.
Camp Rainbow Gold supports children with cancer and their entire families year round. Our "survivors supporting survivors" program is designed by young adult cancer survivors for cancer survivors between the ages of 13-18 years old. Fun activities allow participants the opportunity to talk about the struggles of a cancer diagnosis while enjoying a cooking class, bowling, paddle board or attending local performances. We also have family events that include things like halloween carnivals, sporting events, as well as always hosting a spring and fall family event and doing other touch points like holiday mailings. In addition, we work to help connect the families to community resources and other opportunities that are shared with us. It's 365 days of making a difference in the lives of children, their families, and others who support them.
The Camp Rainbow Gold college scholarship program provides young adults with a history of cancer and their siblings that participate in Camp Rainbow Gold programs an opportunity to pursue post-secondary education, fulfill their dreams and realize their full potential.
Hidden paradise is the home of Camp Rainbow Gold that we host our camps and other events at. With a permanent home for Camp, we can provide a stable base for activities and learning experiences. Hidden paradise is a welcoming space designed specifically for campers with medical needs to securely connect with nature and each other.
