Program areas at Camp Tuku
Overnight Residential Camp In 2023, Camp Tuku served 252 campers at our three weekly session residential camps (7 days/6) nights with two weeks in Mayer, AZ and one week in Huguenot, NY. During this time campers participated in a number of activities that increased their self-confidence, social awareness, and empowered them with critical skills to lead happier and healthier lives. In a movement to promote the social, physical, and emotional wellbeing of children, Camp Tuku has partnered with Emory University's Center for Contemplative Science to integrate our mindfulness summer camp program with the Center's Social, Emotional, and Ethical (SEE) Learning Curriculum. The collaborative partnership builds upon Camp Tuku's exisitng mindfulness-based summer camp programs by providing youth with additional strategies for cultivating self-awareness, regulating emotions, building community, and strengthening inner resilience.
