Program areas at Campton Historic Agricultural Lands

Director and Volunteers host Visitors to living history Farm, Savanna, introduce prairie plants, public relations, fund raising, prairie walks, organize events, prairie and wetland management. Educational tours for up to 3,000 school children annually, scouts, seniors, public, eagle badge projects, Farm skills, demonstrations, skills of 1840s docents. Annual 2 day fall festival, rare breeds show, seed saver, heritage fruit and garden show, antique tool show, seminars on birds, composting, prairie burns, grating fruit trees, reptiles and insects, restoration. Staff presents off-site slide-video, lecture programs. Annual attendance is over 10,000. Preservation of historic documents, diaries of 1840s settler, and a 375-acre living history farm on the National register of Historic Places.
