Cable agreement revenue supports can tv's mission of maximizing community involvement in and use of cable television for cultural, educational, health, social service, civic, community and other nonprofit purposes, and its administration of the use of can tv channels by Chicago residents the other revenues help to partially offset costs expended in providing training, event coverage, and nonprofit services that facilitate participation by Chicago residents and result in the creation of can tv programming that meets local needs
