Canalway preserves the natural and cultural experiences of the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area fo the future by serving as a catalyst for projects and programs than connect people to place. We host free public programs and events that share the story of the Ohio & Erie Canalway and introduce people to natural, cultural and historic amenities in Cuyahoga County and throughout the Canalway. OUr signature events focus on the intersection of art, history, natural resources and outdoor recreation, includes leading the effort on interpretive projects, finding resources for public spaces and supporting the establishment of historic districts to recognize and preserve neighborhoods' architectual heritage for future generations.
