Cape Kid Meals mobilizes volunteers to pack food on a weekly basis for food-insecure children in elementary schools across Cape Cod. The mission of the organization is to provide these children with nutritious meals. Guidance counselors, in consultation with the school nurse and teachers, identify students who receive breakfast and lunch at school but are at risk of going hungry on weekends and vacations.

Program areas at Cape Kid Meals

Backpack food program which provides nutritional food to children who are at risk of not having enough to eat over the weekend. The program serves all elementary schools across Cape cod where there is a need. Volunteers pack and deliver weekly to all the schools. Food is provided at no cost to the children.
