Captain Joseph House Foundation

The Foundation provides an expense paid respite on the olympic peninsula for gold star families of the fallen from all branches of the military, from throughout the country, and from a post 9/11 loss. Families qualify to participate if their fallen member was killed in action (kia), died as a direct result of unhealed injuries sustained while in combat, or died as a result of a combat ptsd self inflicted/suicide event. Eligibility is limited to immediate family members who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. In a situation where a gold star family member has no immediate family, the executive director may permit the gold star family member to bring a non-family member for support. There is no cost for this non-family individual.
