Care Fresno

Care Fresno's mission is to train people and churches to address poverty by investing in communities with few resources and mentoring at-risk youth and family. Each year, Care Fresno staff and interns move into high-crime neighborhoods and develop programs for socioeconomically disadvantaged youth and families in the apartments where they live. Our current programs include, but are not limited to: Care club after-school programs held within Fresno's highest crime apartment complexes, giving children access to tutoring, reading, arts and sports as well as providing them with a safe place during hazardous times of each day. Our annual Care camp gives youth the opportunity to attend a one-week camp filled with team games, hikes, singing, campfires and inspiring speakers. Care Fresno's mission Care is a year-long urban leadership program offering weekly classes in urban internship and community development.
