Program areas at Caring Foundation of Montana
The Caring Foundation's Care Van Program provided access to immunization records screening and a full range of age appropriate immunizations for rural and underserved populations across Montana. In 2021, this included being a leader in mobile COVID immunization clinics. The foundation administered 4,294 adult immunizations and 479 child immunizations.
In partnership with local providers the Care Van Program provided 196 sports physicals in Great Falls, and Big Timber. The Program also provides prevention materials and resources at all events, including drug abuse prevention, cancer screenings, mental health resources, shaken baby prevention, and other community resources. The program participates in the State of Montana Immunization Program regional workshops, HOSA, Intermountain/Childwise, Montana Nonprofit Association, Montana Chamber events and other education events.
In collaboration with the State of Montana Oral Health Program, Sealants for Smiles Program, and Smiles Across Montana, the foundation provided access to dental exams, fluoride treatments, x-rays, and sealants for 724 school-age children and adults in the communities across the state. With schools being closed down for a portion of the year, these numbers are lower than normal.
