Cunniff Dixon Foundation Newsletter Series - To draw attention to the resources available to the public interested in the art of medicine near the end of life and planning issues related to end-of-life care, the Cunniff Dixon Foundation (CDF) created a newsletter series in 2022. Experts in the field of palliative medicine and end-of-life care are featured with content theyve written appealing to the general consumer base. The newsletter series serves as a natural magnet to the no-cost end-of-life planning tools provided by the CDF through Planning My Way: https://www.planningmyway.org/. Further organic outreach is targeted via consistent social media posting via the Planning My Way Facebook page: httpswwwfacebookcomplanningmyway which has been the impetus for likes and shares of content related to advance care planning and recognized by individuals as well as organizations. CDF hosted a live digital workshop for the global employees of Nielsen including a presentation with Andy Peters, CDF, Executive Director, Dr. ShellieWilliams, CDF award recipient and Jen Santini, partner of Sykora & Santini. The program was so successful CDF plans to duplicate the workshop via live and recorded digital presentations features for HR divisions of corporations throughout the United States. To increase the range of service to the Latino community, CDF continues to promote the Spanish version of Planning My Way. The advance care planning project of CDF is in collaboration with Robert Pearlman, MD, MPH, and Melissa Bottrell, MPH, Ph.D. It now provides free consumer-oriented print and digital materials to help individuals and families in the Latino Spanish-speaking community to think about, learn and communicate what matters most as they contemplate both legal and supporting future health care directives.Cunniff-Dixon Foundations long-running awards program expanded in 2022 and included 9 awardees with the addition of two honors. The Richard Payne Leadership Award, the sixth physicians award presented by the foundation, was created to recognize exemplary physicians who work with vulnerable or underserved populations in the field of palliative medicine and end-of-life care. In addition, a nursing award was created to recognize outstanding inpatient-outpatient palliative care provided by three nurses in the field. The establishment of the awards is outlined in the release: httpswwwthehastingscenterorgwhowe...
