Launched new destination brand and supporting campaign, hired 4 employees and opened new permanent visit Carlsbad office. Generated earned media placements totaling 817 million impressions. Supported 65 conference groups booking Carlsbad with group incentive program, generating over 36,000 group room nights and $11.6 million in group room revenue. Executed two major need period advertising campaigns, which generated 161,000 incremental room nights and $142 million in incremental tourism revenue. Tourism in Carlsbad generated $34.8 million of transient occupancy tax revenues into the city of Carlsbad's general fund in fiscal year 2023 representing a 6% increase over fiscal year 2022.
