Program areas at Carpenter's Place
Case management program: for the fiscal year ending june 30, 2023, 717 homeless men and women were in the Carpenter's Place case management program. The goal of the program is to identify, provide, and/or secure the services needed to rebuild the lives of the homeless adults so they can reach self-sufficiency. During this period, 43 obtained housing and 34 secured employment. To lead to this success, a sampling of services received include: 16 received mental health treatment/counseling/medication, and 145 secured an id card of drivers license.
Day shelter program: Carpenter's Place provides a day shelter where homeless men and women can access services and be safe from the dangers of the streets and inclement weather. For the fiscal year ending june 30, 2023, an average of 100 individuals came to the day shelter daily totaling 717 unique visitors and 25,610 visits. In the same time, 22,016 meals were served, 2,001 showers were taken, 1,674 phones calls were made on a phone that is available for housing, employment, and medical calls by the homeless.
Housing program: Carpenter's Place provides housing for 37 homeless adults. The target populations for this program include: 3 veterans, 14 chronically homeless adults, 8 women with no attendant children, 4 homeless adults with mental illness, and 8 men who obtained new employment, but had not yet become self-supporting. Each housing program has a manager that provides oversight and case management for participants.
