Program areas at Carrie Steele-Pitts Home
Room board and watchful oversight program- the residential care program for adolescents from the ages of 12 to 18 years old includes basic daily care for up to 20 youths; therapeutic programming; fitness and nutrition; adaptive supportive educational services are provided to meet the needs of adolescents in foster care.
Youth engagement in sports - to improve adolescent physical activity and nutrition via increased sports participation; and to develop and implement sports fitness programs and reduce barriers to play.
Independent/transitional living program - this program allows the older adolescents from the ages of 18 to 24 years old to stay at the Home in a structured living arrangement;to ensure that they are self-sufficient by age 24; to increase their life skills to prepare them for young adulthood.
After school/summer camp - activities for youths during the school year and summer months.
