We founded the Maryland apprenticeship connector (mac) as part of a consortium that was awarded and msde Maryland works grant. Mac exists to illuminate the undeniable value of apprenticeships, championing them as an essential pathway across all industries to achieve immediate operational benefits while also future-proofing employers workforces. By serving as a conduit for specialized expertise and resources, mac demystifies and elevates the apprenticeship experience for employers. Our mission is to provide a well-rounded 360 view of the apprenticeship process, shift societal views, and position mac as the connector for employers aiming for business growth and a modern approach to workforce development.
Our techworks program name has changed to veterans transition to Technology and has continued to grow, we provided over 65 laptops to eligible veterans in 2023.

In december we began distributing 5k chromebooks for the Maryland statewide broadband connected devices program. This program expands our ability to connected underserved communities to Technology. Ctic members have also participated in numerous community events and forums where they have been the "technologists- or experts regarding various topics. Our staff and members serve on the advisory board to tech incubators in the community as well as in the region, as well serving on the county's long-term advisory Council, Carroll county broadband advisory board, and Carroll county's workforce development board.
