Program areas at Casa for Children
Between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023, the Judges from Ohio, Marshall, Wetzel and Tyler Counties referred 260 children who were removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect to our program; another 389 children were still being served by our advocates but removed from their home of origin in the years prior. This is total of 649 children served by our CASA program last fiscal year.
CASA operates a direct aid program where we have a foster closet with in kind donations and assistance with up to $250 for direct aid for items that a family needs to preserve the household.
As part of our prevention services, provided services to families affected by substance abuse, program completed trainings in the community, provided incentives for family treatment court, hosted events for foster parent support.
