Program areas at CASA of Northeast Oklahoma
Court appointed special advocate (Casa) services for children who are abused and neglected by their parents or guardians. Our Casa volunteers 1)complete an investiagation of the child's circumstances and interview significant adults in the child's life; 2) facilitate any services the child may need while living in foster care; 3) monitor the parent's progression on court ordered treatment plans, and monitor the child's safety, permanency needs, and best interests through in-person visits with the child at least every 30 days; and 4) advocate in court for the best interest of the child, filing a written report to the court with recommendations regarding the child's circumstances and progress and the parent's circumstances and progress.
