Program areas at Cascade Locks Park Association
Clpa provides historic, cultural, and nature education at no cost to area schools (public, private, and home based) and adult groups. Our curriculum focuses on early akron, the Ohio & erie canal and native flora and fauna.
Physical operation of the mustill store museum. Clpa employs an executive director and operations manager, both part-time positions. In addition, the store operation requires the help of over 40 volunteers. The museum is open 3 days a week from april thru october.
Maintaining the mustill properties and grounds requires many hours of labor and a significant portion of the organization's budget. Clpa stewards the mustill store, home & surrounding green space, areas of the schumacher mill site, and clpa's physical archives,
