Program areas at Casco Public Library

Circulation of library materials including books, magazines, audio-books on CD, DVDs, e-books, digital audio-books, and park/museum passes. In 2023, CPL circulated 14,506 items in our community. We continue to add items to our "Library of Things," which includes snowshoes for all ages, baking pans, CD & DVD players, and "Learning Bundles" which provide activities in literacy, STEM, and social & emotional development.
Offering free computer use and free open WIFI to the community. CPL provides 4 public use computers and our WIFI is on 24/7 and reaches our parking lot. Our WIFI serves people inside the library building as well as outside the building. There were 215 in-house sessions on our desktop computers. Wifi usage is likely similar to last year's usage but unfortunately our tracking mechanism for wireless sessions was not working for 2023. We should be able to track usage for 2024 because we realized the problem and fixed it.
Providing free educational and entertaining programs for adults, families and children. In 2023, Casco Library provided 246 programs with 2,034 participants.
