Casitas on East Broadway

Casitas on East Broadway is a single-purpose 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. The organization developed 57 units of housing under hud's section 202 supportive housing for elderly program. The 57 units, including 56 units that are occupied by very low-income elderly families, and 1 unit that is occupied by on-site management, were completed and put into service on 8/11/2010. 56 of the 57 units have been leased to residents that qualify as very low income; those who are at least 62 years of age and whose income levels are at or below 50% of area median. The 56 units are also subsidized by a prac, project rental assitance contract; qualified tenants pay only 1/3 of their adjusted monthly income toward rent and utilities.
